Description

The sustainability fields have been making strides in working to advance justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout North America. While this support has been targeted to diverse communities, migrants (immigrants, undocumented, DACAmented, refugees, stateless people, foreign workers, and expats) continue to experience a lack of visibility and inclusion while disproportionately bearing the impacts of climate change. Our goals are to learn from each other and amplify migrant voices through collaboration, support, education, and advocacy.

Partnership History

This initiative grew out of a community conversation group launched in fall 2024 by Katia Carranza from Equity and Sustainability Consulting that aimed to give migrants and migrant supporters a platform to discuss sustainability topics. Several conversations and planning meetings later, SCoRE joined forces to grow the network and identify opportunities to collaborate towards this mutual goal.
